B.Pharm (Lateral entry)

The Basic Differences between B. Pharma Lateral Entry and B. Pharma Course

  • The duration of B. Pharma Lateral Entry course is three years whereas the duration of the B. Pharma course is four years.
  • If a person has completed the D. Pharma with 50%, they are qualified to apply for B. Pharma Lateral Entry admission. On the other hand, a person who passed 10+2 in the science stream with PCM along with biology and secured 50% from a recognized institute or board is not eligible for lateral admissions.
  • In the B. Pharma Lateral Entry admissions program , students receive direct admission into their second year within B. Pharma course. In contrast, in the general B. Pharma program, students are admitted during the first semester in the B. Pharma course.
  • Concerning the possibility of employment or higher learning, the benefit of both programs is the same.
